We are observers of lightscapes from all over the world for the past 14 years. Equipped with cameras, sketchbooks and photometers, we make day and night vistis to the cities of the world - around 60 have already been surveyed so far. We observe and analyse how artificial light alters the perception of the city compared with the daytime and how the city's development over time shapes the character of the lighting too. studies are made at both macro and micro scales. Our goal is to keep going back to these cities to record changes which are always omnipresent. Cities raise many questions - like why are lights of a particular type installed there? What kind of light is preferable to which cultures? Who are the heros and villains of these nightscapes?
